FAQ

  • How long does it take you to finish my portrait?
Generally speaking portraits can take up to 3 weeks to complete, depending on my schedule and the size and intricacy of your portrait. ***DURING THE HOLIDAYS! All orders placed after August 28th are considered Holiday orders and will have a delivery date of December 15th at the latest. This is my busiest time of year and I tend to create holiday portraits in batches on a first come, first served basis. If you need your portrait completed before December 15th, please let me know in the comments section of the product order page.
  • What sizes do you offer?
I offer a wide range of sizes from 11x14 to 36x48. Here is the full list: 11x14, 16x20, 18x24, 24x36, 30x40, 36x36, 36x48 Pricing will vary by season and I often run sales, so check the Custom Pet Portraits page for current pricing.
  • Can you do more than one pet in a portrait?
Yes, I can! It does cost a little extra ($30 for two, $50 for three) as it's a lot more work to paint two or more animals than just one. I can do up to three pets in one painting. To order a portrait with more than one pet, choose "Two Pets" or "Three Pets" option in the Add-ons dropdown on the product page.
  • What kind of photo works best for a portrait?
The best photos are photos taken in natural light and from a direct front angle. DO NOT USE FLASH PLEASE! Please ensure the photos are not blurry or low-resolution as the quality of the painting greatly depends on the quality of the reference photo. I realize sometimes you are working with limited photos and even older, low-res photos. I can use multiple photos to create the portrait, but your wait time may be extended for this process. Here are some examples of great photos and not so great photos: Great Photos Not So Great Photos

  • How long does it take to ship?
Once your portrait is shipped out, the average delivery time is 2-5 business days, depending on the postal service's and UPS' holiday delays. Once a portrait leaves my studio, I am mo longer responsible for any damage caused to the package in transit.
